It is reported that Amazon India has launched a logistics solution called “Send” to simplify the international logistics and transportation problems of Amazon e-commerce sellers exporting from India.

Bhupen Wakankar, director of global trade at Amazon India, said that through the new logistics solution, Indian exporters will be able to promote Indian-made products, including homes and kitchens, to customers around the world during this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions, STEM toys, apparel, health and personal care, office products, jewelry, beauty and furniture.

The newspaper understands that “Send” allows exporters to obtain end-to-end worry-free logistics and transportation services at a lower price. With “Send,” sellers enrolled in Amazon’s global selling program can ship air packages from India to Amazon’s fulfillment centers in the United States. The retail giant is expected to add more destinations soon.

Bhupen Wakankar emphasized that in addition to services such as booking, shipping and package tracking, “Send” can also help Amazon e-commerce sellers replenish inventory faster to meet customer demand.

In addition, we also learned that the Amazon e-commerce platform cut the subscription fee for new exporters who joined its global selling program for the first three months in order to attract more sellers to its platform before the holiday season, especially small businesses.

The subscription fee for exporters new to the global selling program will be reduced from $120 to $1 for the first three months, the company said. This offer is only available from November 7, 2022 to May 6, 2023.

It can be seen that the retail giant is focusing on driving seller growth and seller service plans. It is understood that Amazon’s goal is to help Indian sellers achieve US$20 billion in exports by 2025. In June this year, the cumulative export value of Amazon e-commerce Indian sellers successfully exceeded US$5 billion.
