How to use Amazon's virtual bundling function to detonate new products!

In the past, Amazon has been strictly investigating the illegal merger of variants, and the reason for closing the store is the abuse of the variant, but what if the seller really needs bundled sales? There are also many requirements for merging variants. Brands and categories need to be unified to be successful. If the variant is forcibly merged, it will be judged by Amazon as a violation of the merged variant, thus resulting in the closure of the store.

Amazon officially has a function of virtual bundled products. What is a virtual bundle? It is to add multiple separately sold products to one ASIN on Amazon and sell to customers through one product listing page.

1. What is a bundled product?

A bundle is a selection of 2-5 items from your product catalog, usually discounted as a whole. These items are not packaged together, but sold together.

Bundles allow buyers to purchase products that are paired, making it easier to discover and buy more from a seller’s branded catalog. This allows brand owners to offer bundled products without having to pack the products together or change the FBA inbound inventory.

Here is a step-by-step diagram of creating a bundle:

2. Requirements for virtual binding

(1) Need to be a brand registered seller, and ASIN must belong to your brand.

(2) ASINs need to have valid FBA inventory in a “new” state.

(3) Gift cards, digital goods such as music, videos and books, and renewed/used ASINs cannot be added to the virtual bundle.

(4) Product bundles can only be created in the Amazon US store. Currently only for US sites. The function of “Virtual Bundled Goods” is in the [Brand] column.

3. How does bundled sales work?

Step 1: Open the official website or enter from the menu in the picture;

Step 2: Select 2 to 5 ASINS from your Brand Registry products that you want to make up this bundle;

Step 3: Upload up to 9 images for the listing. The component product you entered in the first step will be automatically populated with images, so you can upload images for another 8;

Step 4: Enter a title, price and description for the new bundle. The title field can use up to 200 characters;

Step 5: Enter the bullets and set the virtual SKU for the product.

PS: The pricing of the bundled item can be lower than or equal to the sum of the prices of the items in the bundled item. If the bundle price is higher than the sum of the prices of its components, the bundle will be disqualified from the Buy Button.

When you enter a bundle price, the right side will tell you how much it is discounted from the main price.

Fourth, what advantages can be achieved

  1. Increase the selling price of Listing;

  2. Combine and sell multiple products in a store to improve sales efficiency;

  3. Bring customers a better experience;

  4. It will only increase the sales of existing products, and will not have any impact on the listing of existing products;

  5. Unlike variants, virtual bundling does not affect the performance and sales of any existing Listing;

  6. Amazon will not increase fees for virtual bundles, all fees are calculated according to the commission, FBA handling fee and shipping fee of a single item;

  7. You can sign up for virtual bundled goods separately to participate in in-site activities (Seckill, Coupon, exclusive discount, etc.)

Currently, bundled items cannot be items in a variation set.

Bundles must meet all standard criteria to be eligible for the promotion.

Note that adding bundle discounts will not affect the price history of its component ASINs or their eligibility for promotions.
