Apple Holds Free Summer Camp, Registration Now Open

A free event loved by kids and families, Apple Summer Camp is returning to Apple Stores around the world this summer.

Classes are held every week from June 20th to August 31st. Entering its 20th year, Apple Camp is back with a new two-hour home class that helps participants create digital comic books about protecting and celebrating the planet.

“We look forward to our students and their families igniting their imaginations at Apple Camps through lectures and mutual learning from our team members,” said Deirdre O’Brien, Apple’s senior vice president of retail and people. “Over the past 20 years, , this special event has created spaces for connection and learning in our retail stores around the world, and we are very excited to be hosting these events again.”

This year, Apple Creative Pro trainers will lead a new course, Art Lab: Comic Adventures with the Family.

After students and their families come up with stories about protecting the earth, they will pick up iPads and go outdoors to find creative inspiration from the environment around them. Participants will use an iPad Pro to take photos, draw with Apple Pencil, add speech bubbles and stickers, and design their own heroic stories.

In addition to in-store classes, Apple Camps offers downloadable camp guides. This experience includes 20 iPad-ready at-home creative activities designed to teach and inspire children and their families around the world with creative skills.

Every summer, Apple organizes Apple Summer Camps in Apple Stores around the world. This event is aimed at children aged 8 to 12 and their parents or guardians.
